Your new bathroom, built right by Bellgrave Interiors

Bathroom renovations at Bellgrave Interiors, we get it – you want a great bathroom without the fuss. We're all about making your new bathroom renovation solid, stylish, and exactly what you need. Here's how we get it your bathroom renovation done, step by step:

Our Bathroom Renovations: What to Expect

1. The Rip Out:
First off, we protect your home with dust sheets and floor covers. Then, we get stuck into stripping out the old bathroom. This helps us see exactly what's what and plan everything out. We'll also sort out all the rubbish removal – no mess left for you.

2. First Fix – Getting the Basics Right:
This is where we set things up behind the scenes.
* Plumbing: Our plumbers check all your pipes. Most times, we'll put in all new pipes so everything's fresh and in the right spot for your new layout. We'll even hide pipes in walls and floors where we can, so you don't have big boxings. We also fit any in-wall toilet parts or shower valves now.
* Electrics: Our electricians make sure all your wiring is up to scratch and moved for your new lights and power points. Again, we usually update these for your new bathroom.

3. Getting Ready for Tiles – Solid Foundations:
A good finish needs a good start.
* Floors: We check your floorboards for any rot or damage and fix them up. Then, we strengthen the floor and cover it with a special board that's perfect for tiling.
* Walls: We nearly always re-board the walls where needed, adding timber for anything that needs fixing. New plasterboard or tile backer board gives the best surface for your tiles. In wet areas like showers, we use waterproof boards to stop any leaks. Tiling over old, patched-up walls might be cheaper, but it won't last as long and isn't as strong.

4. Fitting Showers and Baths:
Time to put in the big stuff! Unless it's a freestanding bath, we fit your bath and shower tray now.
* For baths, we put timber battens on the walls for extra support.
* For showers, we get the floor just right for your tray.
* Extra Protection: We add an extra rubber seal around the edge of both baths and showers where they meet the tiles. It’s an extra layer of defence against water seeping in and causing trouble.

5. Tanking – Keeping Water Out:
We've always said tanking (making areas waterproof) is a good idea, but now it's a must. We waterproof all the wet areas like showers and above baths. This is super important to stop water damage and for your home insurance.

6. Tiling – The Finishing Look:
Next, our expert tilers take over. They can do anything from standard tiling to big, fancy patterns. They offer different options for edges and grouts too, to get the look you want.

7. Second Fix – It All Comes Together:
This is the exciting part! We fit your new toilet, sink, radiator, shower screens, and all the little bits. We then give everything a good clean, seal it all up with silicone, and test it to make sure it's perfect before we hand it over.

A Few Other Ideas:

* Niches & Lighting: We love adding cool features like shower niches, mood lighting, and custom mirrors to make your bathroom really special.

* Ceilings: We'll usually clad your ceiling or get a plasterer in for the ceiling and any walls not being tiled.
Average Starting Prices:

* Part-Tiled (with Cladded Ceiling): From £8,000

* Fully Tiled: From £10,000

* Bigger Bathrooms or Wetrooms: From £12,500

What to Look Out For When Comparing Quotes:

When you're getting quotes for your new bathroom, don't just look at the price. Think about what you're actually getting for your money:
* How Long It Takes: We always allow at least two weeks for a bathroom – a week to strip out and get ready, then another to tile and finish. Bigger jobs or wetrooms take three weeks. If a quote promises it in much less time, be careful – corners might be cut.
* Who Does the Work: We only use skilled tradespeople for each part of the job – a dedicated plumber, an electrician, a tiler, and so on. This means you get experts working on your bathroom. Some companies might use just one person for everything, which isn't always best for quality. Ask who will be doing what.
* Materials Used: We only use good quality, tried-and-tested materials from trusted suppliers. This ensures your bathroom lasts and looks great for years. Cheaper quotes might use cheaper materials that won't stand the test of time. Always ask what materials they're planning to use.
